We live in the woods. Dense thorney thickets and tall imposing oak trees surround us. We joke in our neighborhood: be nice, or be eaten.

Spiderbears don't scare me because, in our dark and forbidding neighborhood, we are all too used to such things. High on our hill, we hear them scrunching through the woods all the time. We feed them.

MyHusband and I love this creature; I am hoping that A.D., the great and grand bear master, will decide to breed them.
