The second part of the exhibition has begun today; see Alabaster in his several hundred dollar Dollheart charcoal grey silk tuxedo. He's wearing it 'New York style' with a black t-shirt.

A quick reminder for those who are late comers to what we do: you are looking at completely hand sculpted figures. Orchid and Alabaster are both UFDC Doll Fanciers 'Triple' award winners. Nine, our witchy little ghost girl, who is making her debut in this exhibit and who will be available, was first hand sculpted and then hand cast. All of the large figures can be attributed to the skill of graphic illustrator A.D. Puchalski. You can find A.D. here: http://www.angeldevilland.com/.

Did you notice the skulls "in" the skirts? I think that Nine might sport such things "inside" her skin.

Morbid Industries

While shopping for interesting toys and props for Nine today, I came upon these "Gortraits" by Morbid Industries. They are rather large portraits for your mansion which change their image as you walk past them. Of course, I was intrigued.

Remember to mark your calendars for January 2010, as Orchid's Wedding starts then. Her wedding will begin with the UFDC show in January, which we will use as a "dry run" for set up, and will continue on to an actual party later in the year. Flesh the Color of a Glass Gummy Bear

OurThird is a commercial toy proto typer by profession. She is probably the finest boutique resin caster in the country. Certainly she is the best looking and the most creative.

Two of our goals with Nine is that each must still qualify as one-of-a-kind and that each muststill be a gallery arena artist product as opposed to a commercial toy product. This is not your average resin BJD.

Here she is, the very first look after literally years of work by, us, three Scorpio friends.

Keep an eye on her. She's an unusual doll. We have more than one surprise in store with her for you.

Yes, folks. I know this picture is scary. That's what makes it funny. This photo is meant to be a joke. This is not what Nine, when Nine is finished, will look like.

Nine

We're taking it one hump at a time.

The three of us have been working diligently, painstakingly, arduously on the limited artist edition of Nine. We are on track and we expect to have the 'artist proofs', of which we have planned four figures, to be completed by mid-September. OurThird has complete control over the resin casting and plans to produce Nine in a variety of colors. What the color 'proofs' will prove to be will be a surprise even for A.D. and myself.
