Life in Little Cow Harbor

 A love story.

Once Upon a Time, an overly generous King loved his overly diminutive Queen just too much.  One day the Queen said, "I would like a stable of dancing horses!"  The King said, "My dear, you can have whatever you want."

So, the Queen went and got a pedigreed Sard. Then she got another pedigreed Sard. And then another. And another.  Soon there was no room in the stables and the dancing Sards were in the rose garden and in the castle hall. They didn't always dance. Sometimes they lounged around. Sometimes they drank the king's wine.  The King would just step around them and go about his business.

Then the Queen said, "Darling, don't you think it is time for us to extend an engraved invitation to the Goblin King to come and visit?  He's quite famous, you know."  The King said, "Whatever you would like to do."  So, the Queen invited him. She had splendid clothes made ready for his arrival.

The Goblin King wasn't arround for two seconds when it occurred to her:  She would rather have a Sard.  Poof! With a wave of her hand, she turned the Goblin King into a Sard.  And that is why when you see the Goblin King in Fairyland that he he looks just like a Sard.  It is because he is one.

And the King could care less.

Diamond Life

 Diamond life, lover boy

We move in space with minimum waste and maximum joy

                          - Sade

His paint is by Angelesk.  His outfit is Souldoll.  He does have hooves, but they are in the closet. When Queen Luckyl saw photographs of this guy she said, "I knew he was one of yours! He looks exactly like how you like your Sards to look."

Lulu

Lulu helps me make corsets.  Naughty girl! She was hiding her own corset, so it is not in these pictures. I also found out who has absconded with the Louis Vuitton stockings. Lulu! I was all, "So that is where those stockings went!"  Leave it to Beryls; they are always taking things.

Anna

Anna is my most eclectic Beryl.  She is a bronze Beryl on a cream Sweet Witch body.  Fishcake banished her after declaring bronze too difficult a color to match.  In Fairyland, Anna suffers from severe vitiligo, which bothers me not at all.  She just has more fun with her clothes.

In her stash was a completely insane feather hat. I am actually quite surprised that it still has feathers because there is something that is invisible in Little Cow Harbor that eats things with feathers.  One takes out a feathered thing only to discover that that the feathers are no more and the thing is completely bald.  So for now, the hat is still intact.  It has a couple of delightfully spooky stick pins in it.

Anna's taste in clothing is completely bohemian.  She is wearing silk and flannel and velvet with aplomb. I don't think she cares anything about convention (severe vitiligo will do that to you).

Right when I thought she had no shoes, I found in her collection this beautiful pair of red jewelled pumps.  Beryls are very spoiled and I am glad to see that Anna has beautiful taste in footwear.

Sasha

I have been promising Sasha some quality time for a long time now.  Sasha is hard to photograph, but he is pretty spectacular. It is time you got to see him. With the King out painting a race car, Sasha finally got his wish for a little attention.  It was fun to see everything that Sasha had accumulated and was waiting to use.  There is a beautiful silver brocade fabric in his stash that is begging to become a jacket.

Fishcake packed Sasha off to Fairyland to live with the Beryl population here.  I am ever so thankful and glad that she did. Sasha is beautiful and I love him ever so much.

Sasha is rare for a couple of reasons.  The first is: He is a male Beryl and there are almost none of those. The females are quite common and the males are quite uncommon.  The second reason that he is rare is: He is from Russia.  He is Russian paint and I think his fuzzy boots might be from Russia.

Sasha is wearing a black Asian jacket of the type that we all covet and hoarde.  One of those exquisitely made crazy things dripping in trim that we think is fabulous and only give up under duress.  His black sleeveless t-shirt is amazing and was hand painted in Australia.  That curly necklace thing is a hand carved seashell pendant that was a gift with the t-shirt.  His peach pants are completely nuts hoofy pants (He has no hooves. He likes the pants anyway.)  And like I mentioned, his boots are these big furry things that I think are good for Siberian winters; he loves them.

He is wearing a genuine pearl ring that was made by me in 2009.

His hair is two-tone layered Monique and he loves it. (Sasha is very loving and patient, a very easy going, guy.)

He is not fond of that hat. I mugged someone for it and said, "Could you wear this please?"  I told him he would have to wear a hat if he was to attend a Beryl tea party.  Well, he doesn't like the hat and being a guy he does not care for a tea party.  So we will see how that goes.  All of the Beryls still do not have hats.  I saw Lulu today and said, "Where is your hat?"  She said, "What hat? I have fancy horns and a mask."

Hmmmm.

Happy Halloween from Fairyland

Weeener is enjoying a perfect fall day.  She is dressed in vintage Ginny clothes. Her necklace was a gift from Candygears.

Sunset in Little Cow Harbor

I am hoping that the birthday present that I have planned for Luckyl looks just like this.
