If you are on the island, you still have time to catch the delightful 'birdhouse show' which is going on at the Genuine Artickle Gallery in Lake Ronkonkoma.
.
Featuring some very fine, very amusing work, it presents some of the best in tongue-in-cheek low brow art.
.
For more information visit the gallery at: http://www.genuineartikle.com .
.
Keep your eye on this gallery. We are considering showing 'Alice' there in June 2009. You might want to pop in then, for a 'Wonderland Tweet'.

Fine Feathered Friends

Learn how to make them in the upcoming book which will soon be released by my friend theDragonQueen. Anyone who has seen Orchid's darling little "Precious" will also lust after the birds.
.
Surely, they come from paradise.

LICG 50

Good friends, good cheer, great art.
.
Perhaps you would like to join us on the afternoon of Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, to celebrate the Guild's fiftieth anniversary.
.
Because of insurance considerations, I declined participation in the gallery show. The dolls will not be there, but a great deal of equally enticing fine art will be.
.
I will consider bringing Orchid to the afternoon reception with me, but I cannot guarantee that she will be there.
.
Please enjoy the show and help us celebrate the beginning of the next fifty years of creating fine art on the island.
.
Visit http://www.licg.org/ for more information.

The Frog and the Fairy

Quickly drawn as an impromptu present by the generous Queen of Slantways as a delightful gift to the now smiling Queen of Little Cow Harbor, is the delicate watercolor portrait sketch of the two figures we are currently working on.
.
Bridging a continent to unite queendoms and fairylands is not easy. For all of the similarities there are as many differences between our lands; as Queens, we find we do not spell 'fairy' the same way. Whether the creature we are working on is a 'swamp fairy' or a 'marsh faery' there is no doubt she will be unique and amazing when we are done. She most certainly will always be a denizen of Slantways, a credit to that generous Queen.
.
This is your first look at our ultra-handsome enchanted Laurant Remy and his darling poisonous bride to be. To hear their songs visit: htttp://catcara.livejournal.com Tag: music

The world is slipping, sliding, moving Slantways, and it feels so good.
