Game Over

If you drive a race car and you win, you will like this. If you drive a race car and you lose, you will like this. If you drive a race car, and you have a sense of humor, this is for you. Even if you don't drive a race car, or even if you don't like race cars, if you have a sense of humor, this is for you.
.
Heck, I think this is for everyone! Go straight to the video store and get a copy. If you love your precious pet, you will love it even more after experiencing this family's three hundred pound cigar smoking purple one.
.
For greater insight into why I think it is simply so wonderful, visit the LiveJournal here: http://catcara.livejournal.com .
.
My husband is going to be so thrilled that I found this; you simply have no idea.

Sunrise Sunset

Swiftly fly the years.
.
Remember that song? This is a sunset in our backyard. MyHusband called me out to see it because it was so gorgeous.

Doug Does It

He won! He won his red ribbon and the hearts of the ladies. Club members told me he was the hands down darling favorite of the show. Praise doesn't get any better than that.
.
If you thought he was to die for as a winged dark "Cupid", just wait until you see him in black tie and tuxedo tails for the Victorian fairytale wedding.
.
Mark your calendars for January 2010. Let Orchid's wedding preparations begin !

UFDC Doll Fanciers' 2009 Show Pictures

UFDC Club members worked very hard and pulled off yet another successful show. Proving that no one is more resilient than doll people, determined attendees and confident vendors braved the bitterly cold and heavily iced weather conditions to enjoy a day with their friends and to search for doll related treasure.
.
A.D. Puchalski and myself 'ribbonned' in both of the competition categories in which our dolls were entered. Doug has now joined the ranks of our UFDC award winning dolls.

Doll Show Reminder

The annual UFDC Doll Fancier's Show and Competition will be held this coming Sunday, January 11th, 2009 on our island in Patchogue.
.
The show is sponsored in Suffolk County by the town of Patchoque. It will be held at Patchoque Manor on Railroad Avenue, just south of the main street. Hours are from ten a.m. until four p.m. for the one day only.
.
Alabaster has out his fishing pole and will propose to Orchid, yet again, when she wears her silk beaded tail in the "Little Mermaid". Meet Doug as he appears in dark iridescent winged splendor for the first time as he woos the crowd with irresistible chocolate kisses as "Cupid". He'll be doing his angelic best to steal Orchid's heart.
.
Will there be a marriage made in Heaven ?
.
Join us if you can on Sunday and visit: http://www.ufdc.org/ for more information on the largest doll collecting society in America.

Fantasy Pooches

Orchid is marrying into a resourceful, powerful family. Her future mother-in-law's magic easily rivals my own.
.
As many of you know, we are adding the ultimate in exotic pet to the Little Cow Harbor menagerie of inhabitants. The Soom Heliot will be transformed into a delightful pink poodle dandy, the likes of which is rivaled only by theAngelQueen's own rose colored satyr Cupcake.
.
As we prepare for his arrival from South Korea, with a wave of her ever present wand, Doug's mother produced these incredible colorful dogs for our perusal, amusement, and discussion:
.
Join us while we sip our tea, eat bonbons, and chat here: http://catcara.livejournal.com . Heliot lovers, come, let us be friends, while we wait.

Shape Shifting Owl

We have an owl in our neighborhood. Under the softest light of the glowing moon, he sits atop our tall ancient oak trees. "Who? Who?" he beckons in the darkest hours of our long dark nights.
.
Each of us has tales of running out of the house screaming, "I hear him! Do you see him? Where the @#*k is he? Where the @#*k is he?"
.
One of us ultimately had this story: "Finally! Do you remember the year that is snowed on Christmas Eve? That year. I heard him. I ran out of the house, into the snow. I heard him. I looked and I looked. It was freezing cold and very slippery out on the hill. I thought, 'I'm going to die. I will kill myself looking for this thing.' But, you know about the owl . How everyone really really wants to see him, and no one ever does..." I said, "Yes. Everyone wants to see him and no one ever does."
.
One swears that one imagines him. That's why everyone talks about him.
.
My neighbor across my heavily wooded street which is little more than a trail continued his tale, "That's why this was like a gift from god. I wished and I wished. I looked and I looked. I said, please god let me see the damn owl. I really want to see this thing. Poof! It was like magic. Here it is, Christmas eve, and there he was."
.
Personally, I can still only imagine what our owl looks like. But, I imagine, surely he must look like this:
