Uncanny Dreams 2012

This is the information provided by this year's show hosts.
Please feel free to re-post and share this information.

I am pleased to announce that Uncanny Dreams will be returning this year!
The show will feature a vendor room, gallery space of invited artist
displays, and displays for taking photos of your dolls.
Other activities will be announced as plans are finalized –
plus our elves love to give teasers and won’t let us tell
 everything right away!

This year’s theme will be “Into the Labyrinth”.
We encourage attendees to be creative in
interpreting the theme via their dolls and their
own costuming! Even so, we do not require
that attendees adhere to the theme. You
do not need to bring or even own a doll
in order to attend – this
is an event open to all who would like to come!

Uncanny Dreams will be held on August 19, 2012,
from 12pm to 5pm at The VERA Project located at
the Seattle Center* in Seattle, Washington. There will
be a gallery in which to view the invited artist displays
as well as interactive displays to take photos of your
own dolls in, and a full room devoted to vendors.
We also have a room for attendees to just hang out,
as well as an exterior courtyard with a small artificial
pond for attendees to take photos in and enjoy the
outdoors. The greater campus offers plenty of photo
opportunities including the International Fountain,
sculptures, and lawns.

Unlike last year, there will be a small admission
price for this year’s event. All proceeds will
go to cover this cost of the event for 2012
and to the budget for the 2013 show.

Over the coming months we will be announcing
 more exciting information regarding Uncanny
Dreams including ticket prices, vendors, and contests.
Keep an eye here for forthcoming information and
announcements! Feel free to discuss below!
Any questions and inquiries can also be
 addressed directly to Uncanny Dreams
 at xuncannydreamsx@gmail.com.

*The Seattle Center campus was the location of the 1962 World’s Fair and is still home to the iconic
Space Needle and Seattle Science Center. Nearby hotels offer affordable accommodations, the
Seattle Monorail and Metro Bus system provide easy transportation to downtown shopping,
and the Seattle Center campus provides family friendly entertainment and plenty of photo opportunities.
There are plenty of neighborhood restaurants in the Queen Anne neighborhood, as well as a food
court at the history Seattle Center House. Also included on the campus are the Seattle
Children’s Museum, Experience Music Project, and IMAX Theater to name a few of the attractions.
