Sky Line Drive

Yes, the Blue Ridge Mountains are blue.
Attributed to molecules of water vapor, the color is an ethereal mesmerizing shade of, yes, blue. Twisting and turning, wending high above the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia state with blue peaks around four thousand feet in the blue sky, they join heaven and earth and are a glorious sight to behold.
Sky Line Drive and the national park that it traverses is considered to be so magnificent that it is listed as one of our historic national treasures. We detoured three hundred miles out of our way on our way home to journey through them. Do I have to tell you that we were glad we did?
