A Note from Redastor

Redastor, Yves Manning, is an Ozian Queen.  When one encounters her fabulous work, one is instantly transported along with the often strange creature she has created through the gates of far-off, hard to glimpse, Fairyland.  Yves is a master of whimsy and wonder;  she is a constant delight to me as a friend.

As I prepare for this year's UFDC  doll competition, I ponder Yves' words of encouragement. The other night, we were talking about making art for the masses.  We believe that our responsibility is to make it be thrilling and transportative.

As I hold it dear, I thought I would share her reply with you.

There is just not enough fairy tale in this world, you and I QC are really story weavers, secret children still wandering in our magical realms of enchantment.
The blue hairs, the wrinkly stockings and even just the horribly oppressed need a hint of the possible otherworldliness to keep their souls from being eaten by the big black dogs of a very harsh planet, we just throw out our metaphorical violin cases while the pennies roll and the smiles creep to their faces and warm the cockles of wearied wizened tired old hearts.
It does not matter if it is a card or a doll as long as it's Imbued with the dust of a thousand dreams.......
