Blue Ribbon Horses

Edge Godiva and Weeener danced their way to a first place 'blue ribbon' at this past weekend's UFDC Doll Fanciers show here on the island.  The piece was entitled "Shall We Dance?"; the setting was a Masquerade Ball room.
.
Weeener sports Daisy Dayes legs and beautiful Christy Johnson paint and customization.  Edge's signature 'Sdink eyebrows' brought much "Oooooohing and Aahhhhhhhhing !"
.
.
Additional un-retouched photos of Edge and Weeener from the show are here on the Journal :  http://catcara.livejournal.com  .  You can also find detailed "credits" for both dolls on the Journal.
.

I am sorry that I did not get a photograph of the darling little winged frog carrying a Valentine.  I was ever so grateful that he had 'volunteered'.

Blue Ribbon Winners !

Edge Godiva and Weeener are now 'blue ribbon' horses in my stable.  They are 'first place winners' from the UFDC Doll Fanciers' show this weekend.
.
Dance with me here :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpdSQ1v-4h8 !
.
I spend a great deal of time trying to explain to everyone that 'I am not just me'.  Some people create dolls entirely by themselves; I do not.  Not only do I receive a great deal of help with the dolls, the 'help' comes from those who are completely fabulous artists in their own right.
.
Please give a huge standing ovation and a hearty round of applause to the following hugely talented American artists who worked very hard to make Edge and Weeener a reality:  Christy Johnson for Weeener's paint, Daisy Dayes for Weeener's hooves, and Cheryl Austin for Edge's face.
.
Yes, I did do all of the clothing.
.
I thank each and everyone of you for all of your support and all of your encouragement.  The dolls would never be possible without each and every one of you.
.
A detailed listing of the "credits" is on the Journal and can be found here: http://catcara.livejournal.com/188984.html

Edge Godiva

.
Edge is a wonderful horse. When describing my horses, I always want to point to each one individually and say, "This one is my favorite." I am partial to each one for different reasons. Edge is a good sport, he looks good naked, and he has a magnificent mane of hair.
.
Edge is an enigma. One person described him as the 'god of chocolate'.
.
This picture was taken on the shores of Little Cow Harbor. Right now, Edge is pretending to be the White Rabbit. Find him with Vivi in Little Cow Harbor's favorite gathering place.

What am I looking at?

Yes, I get asked this alot. We do not have enough time in our lives for me to fully explain it to you. Part of the answer, depends on what you have in your own mind when you ask the question.
.
If it is an exhibit which you are looking at, then the answer is, in part: 'performance art' . I have frozen a moment in time for your viewing pleasure. What was 'going on' before you looked, what goes on 'afterward' is, almost, up to you.
.
As Queen in the fairyland of Little Cow Harbor, I have been busy building a stable of horses. Look carefully, you do indeed see 'horses' . See the hooves?
.
In the October exhibit, Edge, Vivi, and Baby Chloe all have hooves. So does the My Little Unicorn Pony with the pink hair, but I do not know if you want to count him. I am sure you will agree, my horses are pretty 'wild'.
.
As Edge and Vivi get ready to slip away to the Masque Ball on All Hallow's Eve, I have asked them to please go as 'Alice' and the 'White Rabbit' .
.
Watch the White Rabbit carefully. Try to visit him at least twice. Once during the first two weeks of the exhibit, and again before October 31st. Before this exhibit is over, he may lead you even farther down the rabbit hole ...
